$Money Mike$ A.K.A. “Quiet Storm”Michael is a Native New Yorker who actively began spinning in the late 90’s. while the heart of his sound is Hip Hop influenced, his aspirations to produce led Him to discover other styles of music. His style is now dominated by R&B, Soul, Funk, Disco, Jazz and Reggae.Michael is also known for working at the legendary Rock and Soul Records for the past 12 years. He recently has enjoyed stints at the very famous and popular A1 Records in the East Village.

photo“The record that roughly started my 45 collection is Gwen Mcrae’s “90% of me is you.” I stored that so in it’s place is King Pleasure’s “I’m in the mood for love.” This song was featured in an episode of The Cosby Show and was Frankie Crocker’s exit theme. I find it to be one of the most well written and produced songs ever!”
